I confess, I've not been faithful. I've commited adultery. I've been unfaithful to my first love.
My piano has been ditched for my guitar (actually it's my mum's, but I'm having the 'what's yours is mine and what's mine is mine' mindset).
I haven't really played the piano this past week, instead I've been touching, caressing and well, been really intimate with the guitar. Been playing The Script.
Went to get my own chords for The Man Who Can't be Moved because I wanted to look like a musical genius. Transposed it to E major to compromise for my tiny range.
I think the song Break Even is pretty meaningful. The lyrics really reflected what heartbreaks are all about.
What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you?
And what am I supposed to say when I'm all choked up while you're okay?
I'm falling to pieces
I'm falling to pieces...
Then again, I've noticed that quite a number of The Script's songs are written based on heartaches, and the inability to forget and move on. The Man Who Can't be Moved, Break Even, Talk You Down etc. Maybe I should join them, or suggests lyrics for them... Marketable!
Speaking of the betrayal of love, I think I know exactly how my piano feels right now.
Advice of the day: Songs written with lyrics reflecting heartbreaks will surely give you fame and fortune!
*Disclaimer* I'm not emo-ing today, just stating my viewpoint.
