Neither here nor there

Today was the last day of the term. Yes, it's that time of the year again, where you get practically the most useless result slip, your CA marks.

And since it's useless, especially during an O level year, I tried doing an experiment to test my standard. I wanted to see what my grades would be like if I did not do extra studying on my own, and the results were...well, neither here nor there. I wouldn't go into details, but it was an L1R5 of 12, which if I recall correctly, would grant me access to TPJC, which isn't what I'm aiming for. Personally, I would prefer if I went to a better JC such as MJC or TJC (VJC seems out of reach thanks to affiliation. Victorians....).

However, I do have the alternative route which is to go to NAFA through music. Yeah, that's right I'm cheating and skipping A Levels, but hey, an extra skill comes in handy sometimes, and this seems like a very good sometime to pull out my get-out-of-A-levels free-key.

Then again, I'm still not 100% sure that music is what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. On current form, I wouldn't mind it, but maybe after a month of intensive music, perhaps I may get sick. After all, too much sugar isn't good.

So, back to the 'experiment'. I learnt that I actually have to put in effort in order to score imba marks.

All this while I've been having the mindset that geniuses don't need to study. All they have to do is eat, sleep and play their pianos and then they get the As like they're giveaways. And I still think that geniuses don't need to study. The only thing that's changed is that I no longer think I'm a genius. (Although acting like one is pretty fun, and I'm the only person who can pull it off. Why? Try asking a dumbass to act like a genius!)

So, advice of the day: If you want to get gay results, you DO have to study. I'm sure you did not know that!
